Lab report software for pathology labs

Make accurate pathology reports on your own letterhead, with automatic flags and calculated values, a QR code on every page, and one-click delivery to the patient on WhatsApp.

Entering results

  • Search and add tests, panels or whole packages such as a health check-up, by name or code ("lipid", "CBC").
  • Numbers and words. Type numeric values and press Enter to move to the next box. Word results accept the usual short forms, such as NR for Non-reactive.
  • Flags as you type. Low, High and Critical appear immediately. Critical results are listed together in a box on the report.
  • Calculated values fill in by themselves: eGFR, BUN, ratios and absolute counts. They can't be typed over, so they always match the values they come from.
  • Interpretation bands such as Prediabetes for HbA1c print automatically.
  • Remarks and notes per value or per panel, and an overall comment.
  • Drafts save as you go and open on any lab computer. If the internet drops, work is kept on the computer and sent when the connection returns.

Ranges that match your lab

Each test starts with Brie's reference ranges. Your pathologist confirms them or sets Low, High, Critical low and Critical high for each patient group, with a preview of how the range will print. The patient's gender and date of birth choose which range applies. Changes apply to new reports, and every change is kept in that test's history.

Your letterhead on every report

  • Your logo, or your own designed header and footer strips.
  • The signing pathologist's name, qualification, title, registration number and signature.
  • An interpretation note of your choice printed under any test.
  • A live preview shows how reports will look before you save.

Finalizing, correcting and verifying

Locked when final

Preview the report and the PDF, then finalize. The report can't be edited or deleted after that.

Tracked corrections

A mistake is fixed with a correction. The reason prints on the new report, changed values show what they were, and the old report can't be sent again.

QR code on every page

Anyone can scan it to check the report is genuine. A replaced report's QR code says it was corrected.

Sent on WhatsApp

The patient gets a WhatsApp message with a View Report button. Report History shows when and to which number each report went.
