Lab analyzer integration
Connect your analyzers to Brie Lab Portal and results arrive on the patient's report by themselves. No retyping values from the machine printout.
How it works
- Brie Bridge goes on a lab PC. The Brie team installs it on the computer your analyzers connect to. The lab owner creates the key for that PC in Brie Lab Portal.
- Print a sample label. When the technician adds a machine test, Brie gives a sample number and prints labels for the tubes.
- Run the tube. Results land on the right report automatically, matched by the sample number, and are marked "From machine".
- Review and finalize. Flags and calculated values work the same as typed results.
What happens when something doesn't match
- A value changed by hand is marked "Edited", so you can always tell machine results from typed ones.
- The machine disagrees with a typed value? The technician chooses which to keep.
- Results for another patient can be rejected with "Not this patient".
- Results with no sample number wait in a separate list until the technician attaches them to the right report or sets them aside.
- No connection? Upload the analyzer's results file (.csv, .txt or .tsv) instead.
Going live safely
Before real patients, the technician runs a quality-control sample to check values arrive correctly, and compares a full day's results with the analyzer's own printout. The owner can see whether each lab PC is online, and can switch off a PC's key immediately if the PC is lost or replaced.
Which analyzers can connect?
Send us the make and model of each analyzer in your lab at business@cictus.com and we'll confirm how it connects.
